Ana joined the College of Education and Health Professions as the undergraduate Academic Advisor for Human Resource and Workforce Development in January 2016. Ana’s relationship with the University of Arkansas began in the fall of 2003 as a freshman chemical engineering student. After five semesters of all things engineering, she decided to follow her passions and changed her major into a program in the Fulbright College. In 2007, she graduated with a B.A in Journalism in the Ad/PR sequence along with French and Spanish minors. In 2009, Ana joined the University as a staff member and has worked in undergraduate advising in Fulbright College, and undergraduate recruitment in Enrollment Services. She loves to encourage students to study world languages and cultures and use them as a perfect excuse to study abroad. Ana is currently pursuing an M.Ed degree from the University of Arkansas.
Ana was born in Mexico and lived in Mexico City until 1995 when her family relocated to Fort Smith, Arkansas. She has also lived in South Florida and Massachusetts, but calls Fayetteville home. When she is not advising students or taking graduate classes, she is teaching at Rince Arkansas Academy of Irish Dance, or traveling with her Irish dancers to competitions. She is also a yoga enthusiast.
