Research Interests:
Dr. Graham is currently engaged in researching the impact of turnover on safety in fleet load trucking companies. He and co-researcher Dr. Fredrick M. Nafukho of Texas A& M University are examining truck drivers’ perceptions of relationships with various support personnel, truck drivers' intentions to leave, and their correlation to crash rates. Other research interests include organizational learning mechanisms and practices, program and project evaluation, career development, and performance improvement variables in the workplace.
Professional Biography:
Dr. Graham has prior career tracks in the petroleum and agriculture industries and has recently completed an international faculty appointment as a visiting professor in Taiwan. He served as managing editor and coordinator for the Academy of Human Resource Development’s International Research Conferences (2005-2007) and presently serves as a consulting editor for the 2008 conference. He also assists in a limited capacity as a proceedings coordinator. Previously, Dr. Graham, a Walton Fellow, served as a graduate assistant and conducted extensive research with Dr. Fredrick M. Nafukho in the department of RHRC. Dr. Graham is also an active board member of the Pittsburg State University’s HRD Advisory Council in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Personal Information:
Dr. Graham enjoys teaching, photography, fly fishing for trout, camping, canoeing, hiking, skiing, traveling and supporting the Razorback sports teams. He also enjoys studying the history and development of America’s national parks and the various measures leaders utilize to preserve and rebuild our country’s natural resources. Dr. Graham is the father of three children and enjoys participating as a spectator at their numerous sports and church events.
