Professional Biography:
In 2005, Betsy worked as the on-site Consulting Director for the REALIS Counseling Program in Kiev, Ukraine, and continues to serve on their advisory board regarding program and staff development. After returning from Ukraine, she worked as an EAP counselor in Milwaukee, Wis., before coming to the University of Arkansas in the fall of 2006. Professional interests include domestic violence offenders, the integration of counseling and spirituality, multi-cultural counseling, and the development of academic counseling programs. Betsy is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a member of both the American Counseling Association and the Arkansas Counseling Association.
Job Duties:
Betsy's responsibilities include assisting professors in research and data analysis and providing support in other departmental needs.
Personal Information:
Betsy is enrolled in the Counselor Education Ph.D program. Originally from St. Paul, Minn., Betsy received her B.A. in Interpersonal Communication (2002) from the University of Northern Iowa, and her M.A. in Counseling (2004) from Denver Seminary.
