Personal Information:

Dr. Hinton is married to Dr. Jim Hinton, University Professor of Chemistry/Biochemistry, University of Arkansas. They have three sons: David, who is a personnel placement manager for an Australian company; Bob, who is the e-learning manager for the International M.B.A. program at the University of Texas-Dallas; and Thomas, who is a radiologist in Fayetteville. Tommy's wife, Emily, is an ob/gyn physician in Fayetteville. All are avid scuba divers, and Barbara has been an underwater photographer for several years. Her photos can be seen on her Web site, behinton.com.
